As CEO, Darryl Dewberry is responsible for playing a lead role in the different operations of the companies. He works with the team leaders to set strategy in each business unit, participates in project strategy meetings, and takes the lead in structuring project debt and equity placements. In addition, he works to conceptualize and design projects with our partners.

John T. Gray

President, Spectrum Properties Multifamily Acquisitions

As president of Spectrum Properties Multifamily Acquisitions, John is responsible for the company's acquisition, management, and disposition of apartment and student housing properties.  Prior to joining Spectrum, he worked for Charles E. Smith Residential Realty, Inc. and Summit Properties, Inc., both real estate investment trusts (REIT) that were traded on the New York Stock Exchange.  John is a graduate of the School of Hotel Administration at Cornell University.  He was born and raised in Ithaca, NY.

Stephen M. McClure

Vice President, Residential

Steve McClure is the vice president of Spectrum Properties Residential, Inc.  He began his career in commercial real estate as a broker for Cherry & Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina.  In 2002 he joined Spectrum as a marketing representative for the company’s downtown Charlotte office building portfolio.  In 2006 he was promoted to his current position with Spectrum Properties Residential.  He is a graduate of Wake Forest University.
